The Reynoldsburg Academies go to great lengths to provide families with information and tools that help them decide with their student what academy will be best. Resources, such as staff and funding, are driven by the initial enrollment. Changes in academies have a negative impact on these resources and may adversely impact student progress.
Student change request
Students who are in good standing will be given first consideration for transfer. Changes will be considered on a case by case basis and decided upon during the third week of June during the summer prior to the next school year. The Academy Transfer Request Form can be obtain at any HS Academy office or at the Welcome Center located at 1555 Graham Road. Students must demonstrate in an interview with academy leadership the educational, career, and college interest rationale for changing academies. This interview will be held during the third week of June the summer prior to the new school year. Any student that continues with an academy into their Junior year will be ineligible for transfer and will finish to graduation with the academy in which they are enrolled. Emergency Transfer
In cases determined by Reynoldsburg City Schools to be an emergency a transfer may occur. This transfer will be remediated per individual case by academy leadership.
The Academy Transfer Request must be signed by both the student and parent/guardian, then submitted to the Welcome Center no later than the last day of school of the current year.
