Lauren Young, Rose Hill's Social Worker

As the school social worker, I provide support for students and families in a myriad of ways.

Whole class engagement in our Second Step, Social Emotional Learning curriculum to build Skills for Learning, Empathy and Emotion Management, and Problem Solving. I typically provide at least a 20 minute whole class instruction on these areas and ample time to practice and build these skills!

Provide 1-on-1 support for a student to process a situation(s), build skills and empower students to become the best versions of themselves in a safe and supportive environment

Provide structured skill building groups targeting a variety of areas (emotion management, self regulation, social skills, conflict management, skills for learning, etc.)

Provide support for students in any areas needed. I am always open and willing to listen and help.

Provide support for families in a variety of ways (resources, linking with outside agencies, talking through any kind of situation, listening and hearing concerns and helping address those concerns whether it be socially, academically, behaviorally or otherwise.)

Coordinate 504's and monitor 504's throughout the year.
