Get to know Stephanie Bland, the new principal at Waggoner Road Elementary.

 

Question: How long have you been in education?

Answer: This is my 37th year in education.  

 

Question: Where have you worked previously?  

Answer: I was a teacher in Akron Public Schools, a principal in Columbus City Schools, and, most recently, an assistant principal at Reynoldsburg High School-Summit Campus.

 

Question: What are you most looking forward to in your new position?

Answer: Working with teachers and families to ensure educational excellence for all students. 

 

Question: What book are you reading?

Answer: I am currently reading “Long Walk to Freedom” by Nelson Mandela.

 

Question: What are your hobbies?

Answer: I love to travel, shop, and read.

Answer: I love being an educator because I get excited when children learn! It is the best thing ever!
