RCS Athletes Sign Up for Their Future

RHS Seniors at their Athletic Signing Event

The Livingston Campus of Reynoldsburg High School's cafeteria was abuzz with parents and friends as eight athletes had their signing day, where they commit to play sports for their colleges that they will attend next fall. Five football, two soccer and one basketball player earned either partial or full academic and/or athletic scholarships. We are excited to see these Raiders flourish in the next step of their future!
 
Elijah Ratliff, a senior at the BELL Academy, will play football for Kent State University, where he will major in business and earn his MBA. He would like to open his own gym in the future.
 
Joe Boggs, a senior at eSTEM Academy, will play football for Ball State where he will study field botany and wants to become a teacher. When asked if he might return to Reynoldsburg to teach, he joked "I want Laddy's spot!" referring to his favorite teacher, Mr. Ladowitz.
 
D'Lacy Bass, a senior at Encore Academy, will play football for Malone University and study pre-pharmacy. He would like to be a pharmacist upon graduation.
 
Kyle Hawthorne, a senior at BELL Academy, will play football for Heidelberg  University, where he will study business and hopes to open his own business in the future.
 
Gabe Philhower, a senior at HS2 Academy, will play football for Ohio Wesleyan University, where he will student health and human kinetics. Gabe wants to be a physical therapist.
 
Jamiel Goliday, a senior at eSTEM, will play basketball for Asbury University, where he plans to major in marketing, to help him on his path to being an entreprenuer. 
 
Obed Aidoo, a senior at HS2 Academy, will play soccer for Urbana University, where he will study business. He is undecided on what he wants to do upon graduation, but feels a business degree will afford him endless possibilities.
 
Gabe Blueter, a senior at Encore, will play soccer at Marietta College and study Sports Management. He would like pursue a career in the athletic industry upon graduating college.
 
After the signing, each coach and Superintendent Melvin Brown said some words about each senior, and their character and hard work. Mr. Brown encouraged them to keep their grades up and work as hard in the classroom as they do on the field/court.
