Student Support Program at Waggoner Road Middle School
The Student Support
Program at Waggoner Road Middle School directs and supports the development,
implementation, and operation of 5-6 grade mental health programs and services
that meet the needs of our students.
The program provides:
- Mental health
support to students, family and staff
- Conducts groups
for youth in anger management, conflict resolution, life skills, problem
solving, social skills and other areas of need
- Organize and implement programs and organizations to help support students and families (examples include: Watch DOGS program, Therapy Dog reading program, Weekend food program, Anti-Bullying programs, SOS program through Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Buckeye Ranch counseling program, etc.)
- Link students and
families to community resources
resources such as food, clothing, school supplies, Holiday programs, etc.
Our program is committed to supporting every student, every step of the way. We believe ALL students possess unique strengths, and we are wholeheartedly committed to building upon each child’s gifts in a caring and supportive way. We value the close collaboration of both parents and staff members to help students succeed.
