Dear Seniors,

The Reynoldsburg Local Scholarship opportunities are now available! These scholarships are for Reynoldsburg, or regional, students only, so there is a great chance for you to be awarded the scholarship if you apply. All scholarships are posted on the Local Scholarship page of the district website, LINKED HERE.

A majority of scholarships are due Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 2:00 pm.  Please be sure to check the Local Scholarship Student Handout (on the website and attached to this email) for specific deadlines and requirements.

Here are a few tips when applying for scholarships:

  • Read all of the requirements for each scholarship carefully to know whether or not you qualify.

  • Most scholarships should be turned in to your counselor; some require that you submit your application directly to the committee. Who to turn in the application to will be stated on the application. Please note: Your counselor is not responsible for submitting your application to the committee if the application states that the applicant is to submit the application to the committee directly.

  • You can turn in your application any time between now and the deadline - Don’t wait until the last minute!

  • All scholarship applications must be received by the deadline. There are no exceptions for late applications.

Seniors are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Please reach out to your counselor with any questions.

Missy Borgman Scholarship Application

The Missy Borgman Scholarship Application
2020-2021 Academic Year
The Missy Borgman Scholarship was established in the summer of 2018 by the
Grove City Chamber Singers to honor the memory of this outstanding singer
member of over seventeen years, who lost her battle with cancer on May 11,
2018. During her tenure with the GCCS, Mrs. Borgman demonstrated not only
high levels of musicianship, but many personal qualities that earned high regard
from everyone who knew her. To continue this legacy, the GCCS will be
presenting an award to two graduating seniors (one from Reynoldsburg High
School and one from the high schools in Grove City.) The amount of each
scholarship to be given this year is $500. The selection committee for the
applicants consists of five members of Chamber Singers who possess the
qualifications to select appropriate recipients.
Interested applicants must have these qualifications:
1) A GPA of 3.4 or higher (please enclose an official high school transcript
with this application)
2) Four years of enrollment in a high school choral ensemble
*Please note: Your intended college major does not have to be related to music
to be considered for this award, but it must be used in the 2021-2022 academic
year. The scholarship will be sent directly to the college of enrollment.
If you meet these qualifications and are interested in being considered for this
scholarship, please complete this application and return it to your high school
choral instructor by March 3, 2021. (Arrangements will be made to pick up
scholarship applications March 5 from each director.)
