As the state of Ohio's "Third Grade Reading Guarantee" emphasizes, early advances in  learning to read open the door to education for all children. Parents can hold the door for their children and help them get through. The Phonemic Awareness, Basic Code, Advanced Code and Fluency exercises linked on this page can help parents and other interested adults build their children's literacy skills even before they start school. These resources were compiled by Reynoldsburg reading teachers and are some of the same tools used to bolster reading among our students.
