Message from STEM Middle Principal
Greetings and welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year
I have enjoyed and been busy with my transition to STEM Middle from Mills; we have been busy with making new hires for key leadership positions and also planning for this up coming school year. I am excited to introduce you our new Assistant Principal, Jared Ball, who has taught in the district for 15 years, most recently at eSTEM, and also our new School Counselor, Cara Boettner, who taught previously in Columbus City Schools prior to earning her counseling licensure. We will also be introducing several new teachers and staff members at our student orientation nights.

Brian Coffey, Principal

STEM Middle at BRJH Receives STEM Designation from State

A banner was awarded to STEM Middle at BRJH following an Aug. 15 presentation by State Board of Education member Stephanie Dodd honoring the school as a state designated STEM school.

Ohio’s STEM designation program singles out schools that emphasize the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in their curriculum.

“STEM schools are learning environments that encourage inquiry-based learning,” said Dodd. “To earn the distinction, your schools had to form working partnerships with public and private entities and offer a rigorous and diverse project-based curriculum.”

STEM Middle at Baldwin Road Junior High is one of Ohio’s two STEM platform middle schools.
